Ditteaux’s professional career began in 1991 working as a sales representative for Moore Business Forms in Alexandria, Virginia, marketing business-form printing door to door. Posting double- and sometimes triple-digit growth, Ditteaux earned “Salesman of the Year” multiple times in his district. As a top sales representative he was transferred to Costa Mesa, California in 1994 to start a new middle markets division and aggressively pursue new accounts for Moore Business Forms. In 1996, he joined Altec, the printing and promotional product company, as a senior account executive.
While working at Altec he discovered the business potential of delivering products and services to the meeting and event industry. Unable to super serve this niche market segment in his present position, Ditteaux decided to realize his entrepreneurial dreams by founding mark-it Smart and the B1 Internet group.
As president and COO of mark-it Smart, Inc and The B1 Internet group (www.BagWarehouse.com and www.ThirstyPromo.com), Ditteaux brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the companies he founded. While the professional role of president involves managing daily business operations and overseeing budgets, Ditteaux also maintains a personal interest in sales, team building, product development, client relations and industry networking. Ditteaux says, “I still like getting after it. I’ll work the long days and some weekends because I just like business, helping our people grow and our clients succeed.”
Under his leadership, mark-it Smart—a business once self-operated out of his home—has grown exponentially, leading to the acquisition of an office warehouse facility, opening a second office, expanding its workforce to 18 employees and generating $16 million in sales. This earned mark-it Smart a seat at the ASI Multimillion-Dollar Distributor Round Table every year since 2006, as well as continued recognition by INC.5000 and the Orange County Business Journal as one of the fastest growing private companies in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and 2015. In fact, mark-it Smart has become one of the top 5% of all promotional marketing companies.

Mark currently resides in Southern California with his wife and their two children. When not working with clients around the country, Mark enjoys traveling with his family, surfing around the world and skiing the deep powder of Utah.
Fun fact: Although I grew up on the beach and have been surfing since I was 11, I am a wannabe cowboy. I love the west, I love the mountains and I love country music.
Best years of my life: I have two: 1) Traveling across the country on our way west, with my girlfriend, who became my wife in 2002; 2) Before my kids were born, I traveled to five countries in one year, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Mexico, Italy and Spain.
