Anchor Hocking's story began in 1905 when Isaac J. Collins founded the Hocking Glass Company in Lancaster, Ohio, named after the Hocking River. After merging with Anchor Cap and Closure Corporation in 1937 to become the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation, the company expanded its product lines and facilities. While it later changed ownership and merged with other companies, today it continues to operate under The Oneida Group and emphasizes American manufacturing for its affordable, durable glassware and bakeware products.
